Hi all.
This is my first post.
I had my smear test last Nov 16 showed abnormal changes so I had a coloscopy and biopsies taken.
I was then referred to have a loop excision under general anethestic.
I was told that the abnormal cells were covering most of my cervix and also had some in my birth canal which were more aggressive.
I have just received a letter to say I need another coloscopy.
What does this mean.
I’m so worried!

sorry you're feeling so scared.... it really is such a scary thing to go through.
Have you had any results back about if they were able to remove all of the affected areas? if not it sounds like they want to do another check with the colposcopy to see if you need further treatment.

Sorry for late reply.
Thank you for replying to me. I went to see the consultant I have to have the procedure some again as there was no clear margins. The results from what they took away is CGIN.
If after the second lletz there is still no clear margins I will have to have a hysterectomy.
I have my operation on Tuesday 7th March. Fingers crossed they get it all.
