Severe dyskaryosis, CIN3, Cold coagulation

Hi ladies,

I received my results from my last smear on the 11th April stating there were abnormalities that had to be investigated further and I would have a letter from colcoscopy. After phoning colcoscopy I found out the abnormalities were severe dyskaryosis.

I have been today to my colcoscopy appointment and had 3 biopsies taken. The consultant was lovely and has stated that there is a small lesion of high grade CIN3 cells which require treatment. I now have a 4-6 week wait for the results of my biopsies but have been told that I will be receiving cold coagulation treatment.

There doesn' seem to be much online regarding cold coagulation and it' success rates so I was hoping anyone who has had this could give me some information and help to put my mind at rest!

She has said she will be looking at this treatment as it is the least invasive, I do not have children yet but would love a family in the near future!

I am 27 and my last 2 smear results were normal.

Thank you :)
