Hi everyone,

I’m aged 26 and had my first smear test last year which was HPV positive, no abnormal cells. I was really shocked as I had the HPV vaccine when I was at school. I also have HSV2 and have read articles online stating that it makes it harder to clear HPV with a herpes co-infection! I am really anxious as the year is up and I’m due my next smear. I’m curious to see if there is anyone with both HSV2 and HPV that has managed to clear the HPV?

UPDATE: I have just received my results and I’m now HPV Negative!!! If anyone reads this who was in the same situation as me here is a positive outcome that shows it is possible to clear!
