I had my colposcopy last week - all went ok though one minute was nervously giggling and the next feeling a bit lightheaded.
They took biopsies then advised to put nothing internal following the procedure (tampons or sex) for 3-4 days.
After 3 days and sex I have begun bleeding since Saturday (now Monday) and wasn’t at all following my biopsy was over.
I am not due my period and so am worried I’ve not waited long enough and aggravated the “wound” - can anyone advise? Bad tummy aches sat morning and not feeling like going to work but needs must! Thanks
I don't know about just having a colposcopy I'm afraid. I had colposcopy and lletz on Wednesday last week and I have bled everyday since then.
i was also advised no baths, sex, tampons, exercise for 4 weeks!

I had just a colposcopy and biopsy taken and was told to stay away from baths, sexual intercourse, exercise and tampons for 2-3 weeks. So I expect you havent given it enough healing time!

8th June- abnormal smear- low grade / moderate dyskariosis
24th June- colposcopy and biopsy taken.
