Had lletz on the 24th Jan. Got the results 3 weeks later of cin3 and the generic letter said it would be discussed at the colposcopy Mdt and i would be sent a management plan, which would most likely be a repeat smear in 6 months. Still waiting for this
However today on my online patient portal account of my local hospital ive been able to read the histology report and although most of it goes over my head its says
Excision margins:
Endocervical edge: not involved
Ectocervical edge: involved by CIN3
Deep lateral edge: not involved
So does that mean i dont have clear margins…
Anyone else been in the same situation and know what to expext next?
I was already slightly alarmed by the size of area removed
