As I said up there, your partner needs support from someone else, you can't take the burden for everything on your own shoulders and anyway, he has to have somebody to talk to that isn't the patient! Do you have a sister? My sister turned out to be ace support for my partner as the two of them both know me so well and they were able to talk together about me behind my back, giving me space and time to come to terms with facing whatever I had to face.
Yes, you will feel very alone, because no matter how much your friends and family love you, you will be having your hysterectomy alone, and that's what we are here for; we are here to support you and the rest of them have to learn to support each other :-)
