Need to rant this out!
I had a smear and biopsies done around a month ago. I expected a letter with my results so when I opened the letter I was sent yesterday I was very, very confused. It states that:
"When you were discharged from the clinic you were told that your next smear test would be due in 3 years" This itself is a joke as I have not even been informed that I've been discharged or of my results! Then it goes on to say:
"However, we have examined other results from your colposcopy visit and advise that we see you sooner, rather than the 3 years. We will send you an invitation to have a repeat test"
I phoned my gp as it states to do so if I have questions and they have only been told my smear result was negative and I'm back to 3 yearly smears so what the hell is this? So confused!
Anyone experienced this?
