History:
December 2014 - first smear, low grade dyskaryosis and hpv positive.
January 2015 - colposcopy, all seemed OK, return to clinic in a year for follow up smear and colposcopy
January 2016 - smear and colposcopy, results came back as having cin3 and hpv positive
February 2016 - lletz to remove cells, follow up smear in 6 months
July 2016 - smear shows low grade dyskaryosis and hpv positive, referred for colposcopy
August 2016 - went for colposcopy and apparently all looks fine, back to three yearly smears.
Does anyone know if this is normal to be told at colposcopy that everything is ok without any biopsies being taken? What I’m worried about is that my last smear shown there was low grade dyskaryosis and hpv which was exactly the same as my first smear, within a year this had changed from low to high grade and needed removing so should it be left three whole years without being checked again? Surely the same could happen.
Feeling very confused but don’t know anyone who has been in a similar situation so any help would be greatly appreciated
