Hi I'm new here just looking for some reassurance/advice!! Had my first ever smear which came back high grade abnormalities and HPV+ so referred 3 weeks ago for colonoscopy and lletz at the same time. No problem. The nurse told me I would receive a letter with my results and she would see me back in 6 months for my next smear. Unless the biopsy came back with anything I would get called in before then. I've had no letter but a phone call on Friday asking me to go and see the consultant this week and wouldn't tell me anything else. When I've looked online, this doctor specialises in gynae cancer. I'm literally a wreck, please someone tell me it's not going to be what I think it is and there are other reasons for a follow up appt so soon after the lletz
Firstly try not to worry. Way easier said than done I know. They could want to speak to you about a number of things, so don't jump to any conclusions! They may need to repeat the LLETZ, possibly under a general anaesthetic. Whatever it is they want to speak to you about though, it's great news that you are being seen. It means that any treatment you may need can start!!
And please avoid Google. I am the worst for this and it NEVER reassures me!! Stick to this forum!

I've tried to ask someone over the phone what procedure it was I was having done and she said was very confused. She might have not told you because she might have not known, nothing sinister.
