I had a colposcopy done about an hour ago. She took some punch biopsies. Could see hormonal changes to my cervix and some abnormality still but isn't overly concerned. But since the procedure I've had really bad cramps in my tummy, they feel like bad period pains. Is this normal? Thanks.
Hi! I had mine on Monday and I had really bad cramps after too. They told me this would probably happen at my appointment and is a result of the biopsies being taken! Nothing to be concerned about - just get yourself a hot water bottle and some paracetemol :)
I had colposcopy and LLETZ procedure yesterday and had bad period cramps and bleeding so don't be concerned as I'm sure it's probably the same for just punch biopsy too
Thank you for your comments ladies. I'm also very sore around my vsginal opening. I've had a look and it's very very swollen around the opening. Is this normal? Is it just from the speculum? If it is still bad in the morning I will ring the clinic. Feel like sitting on an ice pack!
