can you help, I went for another smear (my second) two weeks ago got letter from the hospital saying they had a colposcopy booked no information on my smear test? I had one done back in March and a colposcopy they took a biopsy and i have hpv, they said to do another smear in 12 months but I went back in 6, has this happened to anyone else,
my mind Is once again thinking all sorts of stuff why didn’t they say results of the smear? I feel sick with thought x

Check with your GP! This happened to me too and it turned out that the doctor SHOULD have contacted me first re: the result, but the hospital were just more efficient so they called me to arrange the colp. appointment before anyone had told me the result. Obviously more stressful than it needed to be, but a quick phone call to your GP might sort it.
