Brief history of what’s been going on;

April 16-Borderline Smear Results, referred for Colposcopy HPV+

June 16- Colposcopy with two biopsys taken, results of CIN 3

July 16- LLETZ under LA

I have received my results today but am a but confused by it all!

“No evidence of any CIN, which is reassuring,however it was suggested that the specimen itself may not be representative of the entire area sampled. All that is needed is for you to have a follow up smear in 6 months time to check that all continues to be well. Please contact your surgery to arrange a date”

How could I go from Borderline, to CIN 3 to nothing!

Has it rectified itself or have they missed it?

Not sure how thats happened? Iv seen a few people on here say there smear or biopsy showed CIN3 then LLETZ results showed CIN1 or CIN2. Try and give them a ring to see if you can speak to someone who can explain your results to you in more detail and let them know your concerned that they may have missed something as I am sure they will put your mind at ease and there will be an explanation as to how this can happen. My GP explained to me that CIN does go up and down by itself so maybe it did rectify itself? xxx
