HPV abnormal, now normal cells

Hi all

I wonder if anyone can help me? In October 2020 I got diagnosed as having HPV and abnormal cells, this was a real shock tbh having been married to the same person for over 26 years. I had a colonoscopy in April 2021 and told they were low grade so to have a repeat smear in one year. I had another smear last week and has come back that I still have HPV but no abnormal cells? I’m so confused. I thought it took years for your cells to become abnormal and that they only ever return to normal once your HPV has cleared? Can anyone help me?

hello . I was the same page as you. I was diagnosed of hpv low grade with abnormal cells (2021). Year 2022 (October) got my smear done and and result was no abnormal cells but hpv positive. 2023 did Pap smear same result, no abnormal cells but hpv positive… i think the supplements that I was taking helps my abnormal cells to normal cells. my next pap will be this October. I hope hpv negative !
