Hi how long was your wait for a hysterectomy I’ve been waiting 10 months now and have not had any more appointments, I decided to use the choose and book through the nhs but I was told there list is aslong and I should also have had two more smears in the time of my 1st diagnosis, that will be a year this week that I was diagnosed with stage 1a1
Hi, I was stage 1b and whilst there was a period of time between being told I had cancer and knowing the stage, once they said it was going to be a hysterectomy it was less than a month’s wait. I can’t believe you have been waiting so long and that they have overlooked appointments with you. Can you contact your cancer nurse specialists or the surgeon’s secretary? I’m sure there’s a target of ?6 weeks from diagnosis to treatment so it seems an awfully long time to be waiting if you didn’t get any treatment already.
Did they recommend the hysterectomy or did you ask for it? Have you already had a LLETZ and did they get clear margins?
Hi thank you for replying I’ve previously had lletz twice the first was when they found the cancer the second showing cin3 so the hysterectomy was recommended, I found out on Friday my original consultant has left so not a clue who I am under now, my original nurse has also changed hospital so I’m not sure who I speak to now, the consultant at the new hospital did call my hospital and put in a complaint and within an hour of being home on I had a phone call with a new consultant for this Thursday to have another lletz
