I have my appointment on 18th Sept. On 14th I had a letter to say the smear results needed further investigation they'd be in touch within 8 weeks for colposcopy appointment. I received the colposcopy appointment the same day. Not sure what to make of it all, I hope it's NHS efficiency

Update: I'm just back from my appointment. The doctor carried out loop diathermy but was very reassuring. The nurse was lovely too. They talked me through the whole procedure. I can honestly say i really only experienced a little pressure rather than actual pain ( and I'm a complete wimp!).
The tissue results take about 4/6 weeks but I'm hopeful that all will be ok.
