Hi, I had my first smear test last month and it came back as positive for HPV and showed low grade cell changes. I had a colposcopy today and the consultant took a biopsy.
Is this a bad sign/ sign that the cells changes are higher grade than the smear test initially showed?
Also how long do the results usually take to come back? I suffer with anxiety so am really struggling to take my mind off and not think the worst.

They will have taken a biopsy to confirm grading. Waiting is the hardest thing ever, try not too worry to much, uve fouhd if i focus on other things thst need to be sorted then it helps pass each day of waiting
