Hello, I am very confused and was wondering if anyone else has had the same problems as me!
I am soon to be 25 and had my first smear test in mid march, it came back as moderately-severely abnormal. I was booked in for a colposcopy two weeks later and went there thinking I was going to need LLetz that day. When I got there the Doctor told me that I had severely abnormal results classed as CIN3. However because of my age she was (understandably) reluctant to give me LLetz straight up as she said 30% of the smear tests are incorrect at my age. She therefore checked me out during the colposcopy so that she could send off a Biopsy and get a more detailed diagnosis. However when she did the colposcopy she couldn’t see any abnormal cells and nothing at all was showing up white with the liquid substance or Iodine. She said all looked healthy but there was a 30% chance she was wrong. Anyway I got my Biopsy results a few days ago and they say CIN2. What I am wondering is how my result can go from CIN3 to a specialist Doctor who can see nothing wrong to a biopsy saying CIN2? Very confused and quite frustrated because I don’t want Lletz for the sake of it if this thing is just jumping around.
