Hi, firstly let me tell you my story. I’m 34, I’ve always been up up date with my smears and my last one was in June 20. I had a miscarriage in feb 21 3weeks later I was still testing positive so had to go back and have a procedure to remove the remaining pregnancy tissue. A week after this I received the news that they had found cancer and later discovered it was cervical. In august 21 I had a total radical laparoscopic hysterectomy. Recently every time I have sex I bleed a little, I just wondered if anyone else has experienced this?
It’s nearly 7 months since my op, the gp examined me and said everything looks ok Maybe I’m over reacting?
Oh my goodness Char, you’ve been through a horrible time - so sorry. To have a miscarriage and then find you have cancer - you have done so well to get through this. I believe it’s not unusual for people to bleed a little for some time after this sort of a procedure, but please don’t feel shy about calling your nurse specialist (you should have one assigned to you) and talking things over. I hope you will soon be able to return to normal family life x
Thankyou so much for replying! I didn’t think anyone would, I don’t think there’s anyone assigned to me, everything was a bit manic with my treatment due to covid so I think some things got cast aside, I’ll keep on at the GP if things continue as they’ve said they’ll get in touch with the specialist if it carries on x
