At previous smear I had cin 2 so was sent to the hospital. I had a biopsy taken and lletz treatment. 10 days later I haemorrhaged. I had smear done 6mths after this and all came back ok so was put back to 3 yearly smears. Have just had that smear done and results came back quickly saying I had severe / stage 3 this time!! I have been to colposcopy clinic today. Have had 3 biopsies taken but was nervous and not really taking in what was said to me! Specialist nurse who took biopsies said she would see what results come back with and either get me back in for lletz or take it to a multidisciplinary meeting..she said not to worry. I may be over reacting and worrying but I’m sure I heard them discussing notes prior to going in and over hearing them say cancer but we won’t discuss this yet. Is it normal to have biopsies taken and to wait for results?? Last time a biopsy and lletz was all done at same time. I’ve been googling and read alsorts! 4 weeks seems such a long wait. Anyone able to help or advise? Many thanks
