Hi everyone.
Just looking for a little info regarding scans etc once treatment has finished.
I have finished treatment and had a follow up scan a few weeks later which showed swelling but all ok. I was told i would be seen again a few weeks later which i have the aptment in for that but its not another scan,its an internal examination, and a scan if the doctor has any concerns after that. Not sure how i feel about that as i assumed i would have scans at all the 12 week etc aptments.
Anyone share any info on this please?

Hi Rach,

From what i’ve read, follow up varies quite a lot depending on what area you live in! For me, I had an MRI scan every 3 months until they were happy that I was cancer free. After that it was physical examination only. Be sure to mention any symptoms or issues that you have and don’t be afraid to call them between appointments if anything is worrying you!
