Hello! Just looking for a bit more information as I don’t fully understand the process that I am going through.
In 2015 I had an abnormal pap and biopsy done (CIN3) I believe so I had the leep procedure done. My follow up test showed me Pap smear was negative but an ECC was positive for CIN1. I’ve recently had another Pap smear and biopsy done to check for any changes.
My question is what happened is CIN1 is still present do I need any treatment? If it has progressed to CIN2 or 3 is that when more treatment is required? What is the treatment option? With the ECC being positive does that mean the cells are higher up and a leep doesn’t necessarily work for this?
Any advice is greatly appreciated. I’m 27. Thank you.
