Hey, so back in January i had my first smear test at 24. The results came back high grade severe, a week later i went to the hospital and had the lletz treatment and a sample sent off which confirmed it was high grade severe. I had another smear 6 months later, which she said it looked like it healed okay but i explained sex was painful and ive been bleeding after. When she did the smear i bled then too. Anyway just received my results saying i have slightly abnormal cells... but i wont have my next smear till 3 years time. Im worried, why have i already got changes after 6 months and waiting 3 years seems like forever. Any advice or info but be appreciated! Thanks.

Surely they’d want you in for a colposcopy?
mine came back with slightly abnormal plus HPV and they booked me in for one, just waiting on those results and even if it comes back as low still I’ll need to go see them in 6 months and if ok they put it to 1 year. I’d ring up x
Can you get second opinion? Or change doctor? Take care.
I’d definitely get a second opinion and see what they say
They may do it different in other areas but it just doesn’t seem right to me x
