I just wondered if anyone had a similar situation.
When I first turned 25 and had my first smear, I got the result of borderline cell changes, hpv positive. I had a colonoscopy and all fine and retest in a year.
My next year same came back, had the same again and they said they look like they was turning back to normal and retest again in a year.
So my 3rd retest come back as HPV negative so back to 3 yearly smears.
I just had my smear last month, and it has now shown CIN1 Low Cell changes and HPV positive again.
I am really upset as I thought I finally got rid of HPV. Has this happened to anyone else and it come back?
I’m also so worried as I haven’t had a colonoscopy for 3 years even though it’s come up as CIN1 on smear.
I also had thrush as I had another pap exam during smear and it showed positive. Could have this thrown it off?
