Prolapsed bowel after treatment

Hey,

Wondering if anyone has developed a prolapsed bowel after RH and radiotherapy. I finished treatment in June 20 and since then have had difficulties passing stools. Its got to a point where ive severe stomach cramps after eating and even passing gas is a strain. Oncologist has been confused as he said if it was caused by radiation it would be the opposite and instead of consistent constipation id be experiencing consistent diaorrhoea (sorry i know TMI) Anyways surgeon has tranferred me to Pelvic Floor Consultant who thinks its a prolapsed bowel and has ordered an MRI Defecography and a colonoscopy. Id love to hear from someone whos had this side effect after treatment and could advise on what’s possibly in store for me.

Im going through the sameeeee exact thing!! I got referred to a GI specialist!! Not till october though and its sooooo stressful! So we shall see!

Aw the relief just to know im not alone with this one although i am sorry that youre suffering too, im due to hear from the pelvic floor surgeon in the next few days so i will keep you posted on what his plan is
