Hi, I’m new here. I have been lurking for around 5 months but this is my first time posting. I have been waiting around 5 weeks for my lletz results. I decided to phone my GP on Friday as I assumed they would get my results too, rather then just keep waiting for a letter.
The receptionist rang me back and said I had to make an appointment to see my GP as he wants to discuss my results with me.
Is this normal? Any advice would be gratefully received. My appointment is in the morning so I don’t have long to wait but my mind has gone in to overdrive.

If it was anything major then surely they would have contacted you first? Hopefully it's just to say that all abnormal cells were successfully removed and you have to go back in 6 months for a follow up smear. Good luck xx
