LLETZ recovery bleeding

I have CIN 3 and was treated last week with a cone biopsy via Lletz with a local anaesthetic. I was told I would experience cramping and bloody discharge. I have been bleeding bright red blood since Saturday quite heavily. My periods are normally light so I’m uncertain what constitutes as heavy enough to phone the clinic. My GP is very dismissive and has made me feel like I’m being dramatic in the past which makes me reluctant to call the clinic and ask. I’m on day 6 post procedure.

Don’t bother with GP, when I had Lletz I was given a letter with the contact number for the nurse if I had any queries. Call the contact on your letter, or contact number on your appointment letter for the secretary. Especially if it is heavy bleeding. I was told if there is a bad smell to call them too, but like I say it may be normal but if a smell alongside then yeah I’d call them.

It may be a normal thing from the treatment but they are best to speak to rather than GP as they treated it for you x
