Hi I don’t know if anyone can answer this and I’m sure if I googled it I would be in a mess, what my dr told me is that HPV causes cervical, anal and throat cancer. And I’m just wondering since I have had a lump in my throat throat for a few day and worrying that it’s cancer, if the HPV can cause cancer in these areas why they arnt tested to? Maybe someone knows the answer or has asked there dr, I was just wondering and trying to put my mind at rest without using dr Google. Thankyou
Also penile cancer but my partner has been offered no testin.
hpv can cause these cancers, but they are still very rare. So testing for them is like testing for any other potential but rare disease.
Cervical cancer itself is rare, but we get tested due to the abnormal pap results.
