I am new to this forum & am looking for some advices.
I have just been told that my smear result is high risk HPV, no abnormal cells & I need another test in 12 months’ time.
I am in my 50’s & have never had a positive result. I don’t know what this means & what I should do; I am just so worried!

Try not to worry, no abnormal cells is a good thing. I had this too positive for HPV but no abnormal cells. So I then had to repeat my smear in a years time. Where the results had changed to HPV positive but change in cells. So has to go for a colonoscopy etc. I am now under the clinic currently for treatment. So it’s great they are seeing you yearly so they can keep an eye on you x
