Follow up smear after colposcopy

Hi everyone. 
I had a follow up smear today after having lletz twice 6+ months ago. When they had to do a second lletz (they felt they hadn't removed all the abnormal cells the first time), the doctor advised the risks involved in future pregnancie would be greater than if I had just had lletz once. I then got a letter advising that they still weren't sure that they had removed all the cells but then they decided to just do a smear in 6 months (today). I just wondered would they do a third lletz or what would happen if my results came back that I still had abnormal cells? Hope this makes sense. Thank you xx
