Can someone help me decipher pathology results?

I want to preface this with the automated results I got back said everything was negative. However, someone from my doctor's office still called me and they have not returned any of my subsequent phone calls. I was just hoping someone could deciper some of the pathology results and their meaning. Needless to say I'll be doing more hounding in the form of phone calls in the morning.

-2 biopsies were taken from my cervix. The results both said "polypoid fragment of benign squamous epithelium."

Do I have a benign growth?

The third was taken from the endocervix, in the form of curettings.

"Detached fragments of benign squamous epithelium."

and

"Scant endocervical glandular epithelium."

Any information you could offer on these findings would be most appreciated.

I am guessing that they have got plenty of squamous material which is benign.

However it could be that it means they have an inadequate sample from inside the cervical canal. This doesn't mean there is any thing wrong, they didn't find anything sinister but it's possible they want another sample.

I am only guessing here. What they want to do might depend on symptoms. There is nothing untoward otherwise.
