Anaesthetic for biopsy?

Hi all, I wrote a rather large novel in my previous post so my question may have been missed!

 

Quick question - is it common or has anyone had to be put under general anaesthetic for a punch biospy/colposcopy ?

 

Last time I passed out twice quite bad, low blood pressure and they weren't able to obtain all they needed to - waiting for the results of what they did get now.

I was told to have ga yesterday for LLETZ but ended up having spinal and sedation x

Thanks, yes I have been under GA for both my LLETZ and the cone biopsy but never for colopscopy or punch biopsy - that was my question, sorry the heading is unclear :)
