Follow up smear normal but HPV positive

Hi everyone,

I had my first smear in March this year, abnormal cells CIN3 which I had removed with the lletz treatment.

I’ve just received the results of my follow up smear, the smear was normal but I tested positive for HPV so I have to go for another colposcopy.

Has this happened to anyone else? How one earth do I help my body to get rid of the virus?

Hi Elizabeth, just wondering what happened at your colposcopy as I’ve just been through exactly the same as you
