Hello there, I am new and yesterday had my first colposcopy after receiving a borderline changes smear result.
After an initial discussion with the consultant she reassured me that my smear result was borderline changes so they probably wouldn’t even have to do anything. Once I was in position she opened me up and I was able to see on the screen and straight away I had two clear areas that were bleeding. She seemed a bit surprised to see this and continued with the acetic acid which made the areas bleed even more followed by the iodine. She then took two punch biopsys.
I am obviously now waiting for the results. Did anyone else have the same thing with the bleeding?
