Hi there, I’ve just had my first smear results back since I was treated for cervical cancer 6 months ago. I had most of my cervix removed but for fertility saving they decided not to do the full hysterectomy. My smear results have showed that the HPV is present again and shows mild abnormal cell changes. Nothing to do at the moment, but will check again in 6 months time.
I’m really worried that this will develop again and my only option will be a hysterectomy before I’ve had any children.
Has anyone experienced cell changes post-treatment? My partner and I have talked about trying for a baby now. We are early 30’s but only met a year ago. Such a predicament!
