Volunteers needed for a new film resource for women from Black and Minority Ethnic communities

Hi Ladies

On the 14th April we will be filming for a new resource about cervical screening (smear tests). We're looking for women from different communities to come and talk to us about their experience of screening and barriers that their community might have.

We're looking for women from the following communities:

  • Eastern European women
  • Black African
  • Black Caribbean
  • Asian including Indian, Pakistani and Bengali women
  • Chinese or Thai women
  • Women from mixed heritage.

Aged 25-64.

Filming will take place in central London near Kings Cross. Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust will cover expenses and women need to be available between 12 and 4.30 pm on Tuesday 14th April.

More details about the day and what to expect can be found here:http://www.jostrust.org.uk/support/volunteer-for-jo-s/volunteering-for-j....

Please do feel free to pass on this request to anyone that may be able to help! We really want to connect with different women and here their views. The finished film will be used to raise awareness of cervical screening in preventing cervical cancer. The focus of the film will be on screening and not on cervical abnormalities.

Many thanks

Claire
