I had my smear review results back, never missed a smear ever and all were clear apart from the last one in February 2013 which showed mild abnormalities. It wasn't reported, then diagnosed with CC 1b1 in January 2015. I've gone from thinking well it can't change what happened, to being angry and wanting someone to say yes we messed up and we're sorry!
what would have happened to me if they had picked it up?????

it was my gynaecologist that told me when i went to see her then I had it confirmed in a letter later.
I just wonder if it was picked up at the time would I have had to go through all this????

my specialist nurse sent me a form that I had to complete asking if I wanted to see the results or not, I returned it, then had an appointment made to go in and get the results from my gynaecologist. Might be worth speaking to your specialist nurse to see if she can assist you. Good luck.

How long did you have ot wait for your results? I know everyone will have different time frames but just interested to find out the average? Im still waiting for mine, followed up with my gynaecologist and they had sent all the info that was requested in May of this year. I havent completed any forms though or signed anything stating that I want to know the results so I guess I will just have to keep calling to chase up. All of my smears were clear including my last one in July 2016, I was diagnosed with CC 2b with lymph node involement in March 2017 so keen to know if my smears were mis diagnosed.
I understand you feeling cross and I know some people have gone down the route of seeking solicitors advice. I personally feel that an apology just isnt good enough and that someone should be held accountable for everything you have gone through.
