Smear test age in the UK - 24.5?

Hello everyone.

I’m new here. 

My question is how soon in the UK can you get a smear test without it being rejected due to your age? 

I’m 24 (24.5 next month). I haven’t received my letter in the post yet however I’ve heard some girls receive there’s up to 6 months before they turn 25? Is this true? 

I’m hoping to get mine done as soon as I’m of age to be sensible and keep on top of my health.

I'm 27 and half. I received my invitation for screening 6 months before, im in Lincolnshire. Although technically even though it's been 3 years since my last one, I still have to wait till the month of my 28th birthday before I'm due another one, I was convinced I had mine when I was 25 but gp confirmed otherwise. So I'll just keep on telling myself I'm not overdue yet.
