I just got my letter, and it says cervical biopsy reported showing viral changes only, what does this mean?
Maybe it just means you have the HPV Virus but the cells themselves look ok? Phone and ask for more info
Sounds like HPV virus, i have this. It tends to clear on it's own x

Both lots of biopsies I had came back as viral changes only. I phoned the hospital who said I wasn't specifically tested for HPV (my initial smear was moderate so referred directly for colposcopy) but it was likely I had it from the biopsy report. Nurse said it showed koilocytosis & think if there's anything other than HPV (like a random infection) it would come back as normal not viral changes.
It's all a bit confusing isn't it!
