Long period after biopsy

Hi,

Long story short i was referred to colposcopy for irregular bleeding/possible erosion, i had the appointment nearly a month ago where my smear and a biopsy was taken. I had my period 7 days ago, it stopped on saturday but now seems to have started again, not like normal flow just light spotting when i wipe. Im assuming nothing really bad was found in the biopsy or i would have heard by now (26 days later) im just wondering if anyone else has experienced a prolonged period after having a biopsy taken?

I was wondering this myself 

I had my biopsy 4-5 weeks ago and my period has just been and gone. All 8 days of it! Double how long mine usually lasts. 

Still waiting on my results too, I hope everything comes back ok with yours xx
