Have you ever thought about volunteering with Jo's? (closing date for applications 30th Oct)

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all well.

Our next annual volunteer training weekend is coming up soon on Friday 20 November -Sunday 22 November, and we are still on the look out for brand new volunteers to join our fantastic volunteer team.  If you could give a few hours a month to support women and their families affected by cervical cancer or cervical abnormalities please do get in touch.

We are currently recruiting for 2 roles.

Helpline Volunteer

Our helpline volunteers commit to a 3 hour shift twice a month, and work anonymously from their own homes. They are trained to answer a wide range of questions and offer support and signposting to women and their loved ones affected by cervical cancer and cervical abnormalities. Since the beginning of the year, as a team, we’ve been able to help more than 700 people feel better informed and supported in the situation their going through.

Volunteer Support Group Leaders

We’re looking for volunteers to help co run already established support groups in the following areas;

  • Belfast
  • Cardiff
  • Cornwall
  • Hull
  • Manchester
  • Norwich
  • Leeds
  • Peterborough
  • West Midlands

Our volunteer support group leaders provide support for women who are living with or beyond a cervical diagnosis. They are trained to create a safe and supportive environment for women to meet locally, arrange guest speakers on a wide range of topics, facilitate discussions on relevant issues and also help the group to arrange social events to better connect with one another.

If you are interested in either of these roles the closing date for applications is  Friday 30th October but it would be great to hear from you as early as possible.
