I am an artist based in Bristol and much of my work has an emphasis on people’s personal stories. I am currently working in collaboration with a local GPs’ surgery to produce a small body of work, Heavy Words, that raises awareness of cervical cancer. Using women’s personal stories at its heart the work is envisaged as a series of images that will be shown in GPs’ waiting rooms.
I would really like to meet with some women in my area (ideally Bristol, Bath) who have been diagnosed with cervical cancer, are receiving treatment or are undergoing tests who would be happy to share their stories.
