What now!

Tummy last night felt like a had a huge amount of trapped wind. Went bed earlyand this morning it seemed to have passed.
Arrived at work at 8:45am and in the next hour that horrible pressure pain in my lower pelvis followed by 2 soaked through pads of watery discharge. Started to cry like a big wet baby. My boss sent me straight home.
Rang my consultants sec who promptly emailed my cosultant. The secretary rang me back within minutes to sayand appointment has been made for me next Wednesday. I had PET scan last Friday - I know somethings wrong.
Currently waiting on my GP to call back. 30mg codiene and paracetamol arent touching it.
Its exactly the same pressure pain i had at diagnosis. I know I stillhave stenosis and some fluid trapped in my uterus.

Much love Shammy :pensive: your going through it aren’t you x I hope you get sorted asap x

Scared the living daylights out of me !

Oh it seems like such a long time when you’re waiting… I do hope and pray that it’s nothing sinister, I think we also tend to forget that our situations are not typical after all these treatments so our bodies are prone to “act up” from time to time and, at least for me, the doctors tend to act like there are no long term side effects.

Hugs and prayers

I haven’t posted much on this site but have been following your story. I’m praying that your scan is negative and the doctor has a plan to completely resolve your symptoms. :pray:t4:

Oh Shammy what a nightmare even if the results say that cancer is still present it will be a small area and fingers crossed they can do a hysterectomy and remove it all.
I know the next week is going to be difficult but try and do some enjoyable things just to take your mind off it albeit briefly.
We are all thinking of you take care :green_heart:

@Shammy716
Oh what an awful time you’re having. It’s awful when they say they want you back in urgently, so scary. I really hope whatever is causing you the pain can be addressed, and in the meantime you could ask your GP for maybe a low dose of morphine (far more effective than taking loads of codeine)
Sending hugs xxxx

Hey everyone, thanks for the replies!
So my GP dipped a urine sample and found blood and white cells. So shes put me on another antibiotic. Had 1 a fortnight ago so a different one this time.
She also took a swab from my nether regions :flushed: 1st time someones had a hoke around since brachy
I never mentioned before I was put on solifenican siccinate to try and help with my bladder weakness.
I am thinking now that possibly a cause could be one of or both these factors. I also rang my consultants sectrtary. She emailed her and and then got back to me with an appointment for next week. As much as I’ll be glad to actually talk to her in person , im slightly s#£%^*g myself as chances are she has my PET scan results.
So again its the waiting.

I know ive repeated myself a bit there sorry.

@Shammy716 so sorry your in pain and have to wait but it sounds like you have a good GP as well as a good gynaecologist too. to try out your mind at ease if it was residual like mine was then it’s very unlikely it would cause such bad symptoms this soon so sounds like your original thoughts of fluid in uterus or infection is the most likely cause. Hopefully if the GP has prescribed antibiotics then by next Wednesday when you see the specialist your pain would have eased. In the meantime take it easy and I know it’s easier said than done but try not to focus on the possibility of residual. Also on a plus when I had my PET I was told within 2 days that there was residual. Sending lots of positive thoughts your way x

Hi @picklesthepug thank you! The waiting is dreadful isnt it!

I had a phone call from my Gp to say that my sample that was sent to the hospital has indeed shown quite a bad infection and theyve changed my antibiotics.
It would explain why im feeling flu like at the minute. Achy all over and when i pee the end of the stream is like getting an electric shock up the hoo ha! Another lovely gift from pelvic radiotherapy :flushed:

Hey lovely

I hardly post but wanted to say I’m also waiting for PET scan results and it’s flipping terrifying. Every bloody pain, cough, discharge… headache - it’s in my brain, cough- it’s in my lungs, cramp or back pain - it’s in my liver… god I hate it.
Results on Thursday for me.
Good luck my friend on this shittiest of journeys.
