I had my first smear back in June which came back with borderline changes and HPV positive so I was reffered for colposcopy.
It was definitely a bit of a shock and I spent a few days swinging between feeling like they are just being over cautious to complete panic.
I didn't find the colposcopy as bad as I was expecting (better than my smear in fact). I was hoping they would look during the smear and decide it was all okay and an over reaction, but they found a tiny area of change and decided on a punch biopsy.
Well it's now been 22 days since my colposcopy and I'm still waiting on results and it's driving me crazy.
I rang the hospital today to chase my results but I was told it can take up to 4 weeks, so I think I'll be back to hounding the postman everyday.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can take my mind off waiting for results? It's pretty much all I can think about at the moment and I have every possible scenario running through my head.
