Update

Hi All, I hope you are doing well.

A quick recap.

No symptoms, pains, aches - nothing.

Routine smear showed "Borderline changes".

Referred for colposcopy.

Colposcopy clear.

Biopsy taken on the 5th of September.

Diagnosed with cancer on the 19th of September.

They are confident that because of my history and the fact that it could not be seen, that it is early stage.

Proposed treatment is a radical hysterectomy.

Have had my bloods and pelvic MRI today, next week it's the PET and an internal exam under anesthetic.

Was with Consultant again today and again his view is that these tests will confirm what they think after studying the biopsy, of course they cannot be 100% but have tried to reassure me and I am taking this news well.

If something else shows then we will deal with that if and when it happens.

After the initial shock and trauma I am doing well, thank you all for your kind words, thoughts and prayers.

SID.

Hi SID

Pleased you are coping ok. Those early 'moments' are always traumatic.  Its sounding pretty good for an early stage diagnosis, I will keep everything crossed for you.  Keep us posted.

Hi SID, what a major shock for you. It sounds like it all happened so quickly.

Please god its all caught very early as they suspect. Wishing you nothing but the best xx

Hi folks, Hi JJ and thanks for the good wishes.

Posted my update as I didn't see the replies.

Had the EUA and it was all good, small tumour, bladder clear seeing team on the 4th November and will find out what the PET says then. Still a little nervous but trying to stay positive.

Hugs
