UNGRADED CIN

Hello,

I have just today had my results through after having a Lletz 1 week ago.

The letter said this "The laboratory report comments on the presence of the expected pre-cancerous changes CIN UNGRADED"

what does ungraded mean? I have tried ringing the unit but they are shut

I was diagnosed with CIN ll last month.

Any help would be much appreciated Thanks xxxxxx

Hey, I had the same result from my biopsy. Whem I went for my lletz I asked the consultant what "ungraded" was and he said it's basically a mixture for example mine was a mixture of CIN 2 and CIN 3. They couldn't decide, so therefore it was ungraded. He did say tho that my letter shouldn't have really said that word, it should have said CIN 2 and CIN 3. Overall this means your results are only CIN whether its a mix between 1 and 2 or 2 and 3 or even 1 and 3. It means your ok ;) xx

Thank you for your reply!

I rang the unit up this morning and she said my results came back with CIN 1, CIN 2 and UNGRADED and then she explained that the ungraded bit means CIN 2&3

confusing!
