Tampons before colposcopy

Hi, I have had a colposcopy where there was just one area she took a biopsy for. My question is - I've had a small amount if bleeding the days prior - so had been using tampons - and kiterslly just removed one about 10 mins prior to my colposcopy. I have just read somewhere that you should not use them for 24 hrs before colposcopy - why is this? How can it affect the procedure? Worried she might have missed something because I have done this?!?!

I'm not sure why. Perhaps give surgery a ring and ask them why. Sorry can't be of more use xxx

i have no idea either sorry but agree with Dons. Maybe just give them a ring & see if it could of interfered with anything.
