I developed a really awful dark brown discharge/bleeding in the years leading up to my last smear test which then showed severe cell changes. I had the LLETZ last July which confirmed CIN3. As soon as I had this treatment, the bleeding stopped immediately.
I had my test of cure smear in January which was negative for HPV and I’ve been put back on 3 yearly smear tests.
I am pretty worried now as the awful dark bleeding has returned over the last week. It is exactly as it was prior to LLETZ. Has this happened to anyone else? Could it mean the abnormal cells have returned/progressed even though I was found to be negative for HPV in January?!
