I had my loop excision treatment 3 weeks ago. I had a very foul smelly discharge which I was worried about. Rang the GP and they prescribed me anti biotics without much question really. I didn't feel nauseous and no pain? Anyway I've taken the course and also taken BV treatment just in case.

The smell is still there after 3 weeks! A lot less pungent though. Is this normal? 

how long is smelly discharge meant to last?

Hi Dauntless (is that a divergent reference?),

 

I would recommend getting in touch with your GP again, better to be safe. 

 

I did experience some smelly discharge for a while which passed, but 6 weeks after my LLETZ I tested positive for a UTI and was prescribed antibiotics.
