I wondered if anyone has had an infection after a colposcopy, and if so what were the signs and how long after the procedure did it happen?
I had a colposcopy 6 days ago, during which biopsies were taken and my ectropion was cauterised. The consultant said to go to my GP if I notice an offensive smell. I don't feel ill or have any other symptoms but my discharge is quite wiffy (sorry, tmi!). Is it normal for it to smell as part of the healing process? I would call my GP, but it's a bank holiday and the surgery is closed.
