Sex after radiation/brachytherapy treatment?

I just had my last of 4 brachytherapy treatments 4.5 weeks ago. I've used a dilator a few times but my doctor said if I'm sexually active I don't have to use it.  However, I'm a little scared to have sex because I'm afraid it will hurt....  Can anybody let me know their experiences with sex after this type of treatment?  Thanks!

Just take it really slow, I didn’t exactly think it was comfortable to begin with but having sex rather than this dialator made me feel normal and not like a cancer patient. It’s normal to have some bleeding from sex also so don’t panic if that happens, the blood supply is rich and the skin now thin and easily damaged :).
